Why the price is not enough
The price is only the tip of the iceberg.
Below the surface: taxes, limited deductibility, benefit in kind, depreciation. AutoCalcul brings every hidden cost to the surface and turns it into a single figure per month — for the company and for the director.
- Registration tax ()
- once, at registration
- €381
- (benefit in kind)
- taxed on the director
- €2,356/year

Example: BMW Série 1 118i 2022, bought by a company (SRL) (Brussels-Capital), 20,000 km/year — calculated by the AutoCalcul engine.

Frequently asked questions
What do you call the “true cost”?
Everything the car costs you over time — purchase, taxes, energy, maintenance, insurance, financing — minus what you get back at resale and, for a company or a self-employed person, minus the tax saving. Brought down to a monthly amount, it is the only figure that lets you compare two vehicles honestly. (Specialists call it the total cost of ownership, or TCO.)
Where do the prices and market values come from?
The list prices of new models and the market value of used cars (purchase price and resale value by age and mileage) come from RestWaardeBox (RWB), the Benelux car-price reference used by professionals. You can always replace a price with your own: your entry wins.
Why does the order date matter so much?
Since the tax reform, the deductibility of combustion vehicles ordered after 1 July 2023 falls every year (75% in 2025, 50% in 2026, 25% in 2027, 0% from 2028), and the NSSO CO2 contribution is multiplied (up to ×5.5 from 2027). The same vehicle ordered a few months earlier or later can cost several thousand euros more or less.
How is the benefit in kind (ATN) calculated?
The benefit in kind follows the legal formula: list value × age factor (decreasing monthly) × CO2 percentage (capped between 4% and 18%), with a legal minimum of €1,690/year in 2026. AutoCalcul applies the official formula — the benefit in kind is never estimated by AI.
Can the AI get my calculations wrong?
No, because it never touches them. The AI is an extraction assistant: it reads the listing and pre-fills the fields, each carrying a provenance badge. The tax figures (registration tax, road tax, benefit in kind, NSSO) are always calculated by a deterministic engine based on the official tables — and your manual entry always overrides an extracted or estimated value.
What do you do with my data?
As long as you are not signed in, everything stays in your browser. With an account, your vehicles and situations are stored at Supabase (European Union). The content of analysed listings is sent to the Anthropic API for extraction, without being used to train models. No data is ever sold. Details on the Privacy page.
Are my calculations really free?
Yes. Without an account you already calculate and compare 2 vehicles with 3 AI analyses per day — everything stays in your browser. A free account keeps your calculations and comparisons and raises that to 10 AI analyses per day, with no bank card. Pro adds several situations (private, company, regions), a more accurate AI and Excel and PDF exports.
