Chrome extension
Extension privacy policy
The extension applies the same policy as the AutoCalcul site (see the general privacy policy). This page details what is specific to the extension. Last updated: September 2026. The French version of this page is authoritative.
What the extension reads
The extension is only loaded on the AutoScout24 domains (.be, .lu, .fr, .nl, .de, .com), 2ememain.be and 2dehands.be. There it reads the content of the open listing (make, model, price, year, mileage, engine, emissions) and, on AutoScout24 results pages, the same data from every card. It reads nothing on other sites and does not track your browsing.
What it sends to AutoCalcul
With your AutoCalcul account signed in, the extension calls the autocalcul.be API to: check your session, read your assumptions profiles and files, save a vehicle you choose to save, and, only at your request, read a listing or estimate a field with AI (the listing text is then sent to the Anthropic API, as on the site, with no model training).
The TCO calculation runs locally in your browser; a listing’s data only leaves your browser when you save or use AI.
Usage measurement
The extension sends anonymous usage events (installation, panel opened, number of badges shown, save, click on the sign-in gate) together with a random installation identifier and, if you are signed in, your account identifier. No listing URL, no vehicle data and no IP address is kept. These events are used solely to improve the product.
What it keeps
Your settings (chosen assumptions profile, file, application URL) and the installation identifier are stored in Chrome’s synchronised storage. API responses (session, profiles, catalogue) are cached locally for a few minutes to 24 hours. Uninstalling the extension erases everything.
Permissions requested
- storage: remember your settings and the installation identifier.
- Access to the supported sites: read the listing and show the panel or badges.
- Access to autocalcul.be: your profiles, saving and AI, with your session cookies.
